January Event: LMAA Annual Meeting

The LMAA Annual Meeting highlighted 2013, welcomed the new class and gave us a sneak peak of 2014! Diane Postler-Slattery from MidMichigan Health engaged our audience as she shared what leadership means to her. The 2013 Leader of the Year Award went to Joel Beeck from FirstMerit Mortgage.

February Event: LaLonde’s Lobster Lunch at DCTC

April Event: “Whine Down” Thursday

The “Whine Down” event was a fun event to catch up with our fellow LMAA members. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food and “happy hour” priced drinks. It really was the perfect way to “Whine Down” the week!

May Event: Night at the Loons

LMAA members enjoyed a night at Dow Diamond in the Bierlein and Fisher Suites. Although the Loons didn’t end the night with a “w”, alumni enjoyed a social night out watching baseball!

June Event: Detroit Tigers Bus Trip

The weather was perfect this year for the 2nd annual Tigers Bus Trip! LMAA Members and guests enjoyed drinks and snacks on the way down to Comerica Park. At the game attendees got to show off the AWESOME Tiger’s t-shirts that were provided by Ieuter Insurance.

July Event: LMAA Midland Masters Golf Outing

Our Annual LMAA Midland Masters Golf Outing went on without a hitch! The weather was beautiful, the prizes were great, the only thing that wasn’t perfect was the golfing (but that’s ok – the drinking made up for it)! I’m sorry to announce that Steve Poole, Rick Loose, Karl Ieuter and Ken Johnson are our champions once again.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! Dave Kell is stepping down from the LMAA Midland Masters Chair and we need someone else to take on the golf outing! If you’d like to help please let Melissa Eigner ( know!

July Event: Rockin’ The River Riverboat Cruise

Attendees boarded the boat down by the Tridge and enjoyed an evening full of music, drinks, and Domino’s Pizza! It was a great way to kick off Riverdays and to network with fellow LMAA members and guests!

2014NewClassWelcome2November Event: New Class Welcome

Leadership Midland Alumni came to Whiting Forest to welcome the new Leadership Midland Class of 2014 (Milk & Cookies) to LMAA. Domino’s Pizza and drinks were provided at this fun networking event. This was the perfect atmosphere to get to know our new LMAA members and welcome them to the group!

2014HolidayPartyDecember Event: LMAA Holiday Party
